Lori Deal and Lindsay Widicker will be serving as our special education teachers beginning in August 2022.
Lori Deal will be serving as the special education teacher beginning in August 2022. For the past five months, she has been working as the long-term substitute in 1st Grade for Fessenden. Prior to that, she served students in Fessenden-Bowdon as the K-12 special education teacher. She and her family live in Grace City where her husband works for a local farmer. They have 2 adult children and 1 child in 5th grade. She holds a BA, Special Education Generalist, and General Education dual degree and is currently finishing her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She enjoys spending time with family, gardening, cooking, reading, and organizing. She looks forward to working with each student and family and working alongside other East Central teachers and staff!
Lindsay Widicker will be joining the East Central team serving as a resident special education teacher at the Fessenden-Bowdon School. She has been working as an administrative assistant in Fessenden for the past 2 years and has enjoyed getting to work with the parents, students, and staff. Lindsay holds a degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska and she is currently working on her Masters in Special Education with a Special Education Strategist specialization. She will graduate from the University of North Dakota in August 2023. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Hans, and her three children: Wyatt (9), Jillian (7), and Cooper (4). She is excited to transition to this new role and looks forward to helping each student meet their goals and strive for excellence.
