SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATES:
√Homework:
There is no homework this week for FBS students as school was cancelled. We are working on plans for e-learning in the future, if we need them. Guidance will be provided to teachers later this week and to parents next week, again, only if needed. We want to encourage kids to keep reading, play outside, keep a written or picture journal about daily activities, help prepare a meal, and just keep exercising your brain!
√Child Nutrition:
FBS will be offering lunch during the school closure. Starting Wednesday, March 18, until Friday, March 20th, we will provide meals for ANY child. A to-go bag which will include lunch for that day, can be picked up by parent or student from 11:30 am-12:00 pm EACH DAY, at the front door (Door 10). Students will not be allowed into the building to eat their meal. We will also have a delivery to Bowdon where meals can be picked up by the Grocery Store from 11:30-11:45. Students will be charged in PowerLunch for each meal, as they are each day. PLEASE CALL THE SCHOOL AT 547-3296, EXT 120, BY 9:00AM IF YOU WISH TO SIGN UP FOR MEALS EACH DAY.
√REMINDER TO PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE BY WASHING HANDS, STAY HOME IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, AND LIMIT CONTACT WITH PEOPLE.

Friday FFA Food Drive weigh-in stands at 1286 pounds with the second grade holding a slim lead over several classes. We will make our last collections on Monday morning and tabulate the class averages. If you would like to drop anything else off for the food drive, that would be awesome and please do so on Monday morning.
District 7 Boy's Basketball Tournament will be in Devils Lake on February 28, 29, and March 2, 2020.

E RECYLING - We are working with American Recycling for the disposal of electronics in our school. They will be at our school next TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25th. If you have any ELECTRONICS that YOU would like to dispose of, please drop them off at the office by NOON next TUESDAY. They will take anything that "plugs in". NO TV's or large SCREENS or you will be billed for those items. I will let you know when the next pick up date will be, and ask that you do not drop off electronics until I notify you of the next date.
(They are free of charge on most pick up items besides T.Vs, large copy machines, and CRT (big, boxy) monitors and are also R-2 certified for descruction of data.)
